background in education and/or managing recreation programs, experience proving
adaptive programs for youth and a proven track record working with youth ages 12-22 of all abilities, then PIA is the place for you!
PIA Summer 2008 Positions
2008 Camp Dates: June 23 to August 15
8:30 to 4:30 Monday through Friday (with additional
required training days before and a follow-up debriefing following the close of
camp)
Camp Leader
Requirements
-
previous camp experience with people (with &
without disabilities preferred)
-
be creative, energetic, positive, enthusiastic
-
ability to work effectively and cooperatively
-
work the full 5 days a week, 8-week camp summer
season (with no weekdays off)

participate in training, camp closing and
debriefing
Responsibilities
-
participate in planning and trainings
-
lead games and activities for campers 12 to 22 with
and without challenges
-
help direct high school community service
volunteers " responsibility for support, health and well being of
campers
-
understand needs of campers - motivational,
mobility, safety, and health
(Camp Leader $16.00 per hour)
